A member of the coaching staff for unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, Sergey Lapin, has outlined the possible paths for Usyk's career following his highly anticipated rematch with Tyson Fury.
"Usyk has proven that he is the best boxer of his generation. Once Alexander sends Tyson Fury into retirement, he will consider his options. Perhaps Usyk will come down in weight again or maybe he will have special options. This could be the boxing ring, the cage MMA, or even Conor McGregor's Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship."

Lapin also speculated about other exciting possibilities for Usyk's future.
"Can you imagine Usyk and Jon Jones fighting to prove that they are the most dangerous guys on the planet? Or perhaps he'll fight Anthony Joshua for a third time in an MMA cage. A fight with Jake Paul at cruiserweight is possible, but Usyk needs to fight him with one hand behind his back to make the fight fair.”
The rematch between Usyk and Fury is set to take place on December 21 in Saudi Arabia, a fight eagerly awaited by boxing fans worldwide.
