Derek Chisora emerged victorious in his 49th fight, defeating Otto Wallin by a hard-fought 12-round decision. Despite a battered face and visible bruising, the 41-year-old “Del Boy” insists he has only one more bout left before hanging up his gloves for good.

Chisora was visibly emotional discussing the moment he left his hotel to head to the Manchester arena, recalling how the memories and photographs of his past fights moved him to tears.

He wasted no time confirming plans for a 50th -and final - showdown in London, emphasizing his desire to finish his career in front of a home crowd. Many doubt the retirement talk, given how closely Chisora’s identity has been tied to the sport, yet he doubled down on his vow that win or lose in fight number 50, there won’t be a 51.

Chisora’s battle with Wallin was a classic display of his style. He even managed to floor the Swedish southpaw twice, defying the widespread expectation that Wallin’s younger legs and technical boxing would be too much. Speaking post-fight, Chisora admitted he sometimes lost concentration and battled injury scares, but ultimately he pushed through to get the nod.

As for future options, “Del Boy” wants to leave it to the public. After calling out “a fighter, or maybe Jake Paul,” he made clear he wants a grand finale worthy of his long and storied career. Jake Paul remains an unlikely possibility, but in typical Chisora style, he’s ready to surprise everyone once more before saying goodbye to the ring forever.
