Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol are set for one of the biggest light heavyweight battles in recent history as they host today weigh-in ahead of their undisputed title clash. The fight, taking place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will see Beterbiev put his WBO, WBC, and IBF belts on the line against WBA champion Bivol. The winner - takes it all, and will make history by becoming the first four-belt champion at 175 lbs since 1999.
Both fighters appeared calm and confident as they discussed their preparations, with Beterbiev stating, "I’ve trained hard for this moment. I know what I have to do to win," while Bivol emphasized his focus, adding, "It’s all about precision and strategy. I’m ready for anything."
The undercard for the event is equally packed, with Fabio Wardley defending his British heavyweight title in a rematch against Frazer Clarke, following their split-draw earlier this year. Fans are eager to see if Clarke can rise to the occasion or if Wardley will assert his dominance once again.
Australia’s Skye Nicolson will also defend her WBC featherweight title against the undefeated Raven Chapman in what promises to be an intense matchup between two hungry contenders. Another title fight on the card sees Jai Opetaia, two-time IBF cruiserweight champion, take on Jack Massey.
To round out the night, fans can also look forward to Chris Eubank Jr. facing Kamil Szeremeta in a middleweight contest, and British prospect Ben Whittaker taking on Liam Cameron in a light heavyweight clash. Saudi Arabian lightweight Mohammed Alakel will make his pro debut against Jesus Gonzalez to kick off the action.
