According to promoter Frank Warren, the bout between Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) is expected to receive proposals this week, but none have yet arrived.

“We’re expecting a couple of offers this week, but none of them have come through,” stated Warren. “I hope the fight is going to happen at the end of March, early April, that’s where we’re looking at the moment. So, fingers crossed we get it over the line for that date, but it will definitely, definitely happen.”

Warren has also acknowledged that Usyk's team has been far simpler to work with than when he was trying to negotiate a bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

“They have no promotional ties, they are free agents, they have no TV contracts, so that side of it is very simple,” Warren explained.

With ”The Gypsy King” holding the WBC crown and the Ukrainian owning the undisputed titles of WBA, WBO, and IBF, a fight between Fury and Usyk would declare one of the boxers as the undisputed heavyweight world champion.
