Tommy Fury, the up-and-coming light heavyweight boxer, has signalled his intention to focus on battling established boxers, moving away from his recent series of crossover matches. Although these crossover events have been profitable for the 24-year-old, they’ve also sidetracked his professional boxing journey.

Earlier this year, Fury secured a split decision victory over YouTube personality Jake Paul. Following that, he claimed another victory in Manchester, defeating social media sensation KSI in a six-round bout. Despite these wins, Fury has voiced his determination to step back from such crossover events, though he remains open to rematches against Jake Paul or a potential bout against Logan Paul. A rematch with KSI, however, is off the table.

After his recent fight, Fury expressed his sentiment, “I’m done with all this crossover stuff. I’m here to fight, and we move on to the next challenge.” He went on to state his openness to challenges from the Paul brothers, emphasizing his desire to focus on legitimate boxing.

Fury had previously stated that his primary motivation for accepting bouts against personalities like Paul and KSI was the lucrative financial incentives. “It's easy money,” he explained. However, he clarified that he hasn’t dedicated his life to boxing merely for these events. He remains committed to his initial goal, stressing, “I’ve trained to be world champion. When all these fights have been and gone, I’m still going to pursue that.”
