British heavyweight sensations, Fabio Wardley (16-0, 15 KOs) and David Adeleye (12-0, 11 KOs), are set to face off in a thrilling encounter on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This 12-round bout will be the chief supporting act to the main event featuring WBC & lineal heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury and MMA heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. The event is part of the opening of Riyadh Season and will showcase the heavyweight division's top talent.
Former WBO world champion, Joseph Parker (32-3, 22 KOs) from New Zealand, will take on Canada's Simon Kean (23-1, 22 KOs) in a 10-round bout. Another 10-round clash will feature hard-hitting Arslanbek Makhmudov (17-0, 16 KOs) of Canada against Croatian veteran Agron Smakici (19-2, 17 KOs). Additionally, 18-year-old heavyweight prodigy, Moses Itauma (5-0, 3 KOs), is scheduled for a six-round special attraction against an opponent yet to be named.
The event is a collaboration between Queensberry, Top Rank, GIMIK Fight Promotions, and Eye Of The Tiger. It will be available on pay-per-view in the United States. Wardley, the current English and British champion, is coming off a TKO victory over Michael Coffie in April, while Adeleye, the WBO European champion, last defeated Emir Ahmatovic in June. The rivalry between Wardley and Adeleye intensified during a recent press conference in London, resulting in a brawl that left Wardley with minor injuries. Both fighters are eager to prove their dominance in the division and make a statement on fight night.
