Shakur Stevenson has mapped out three targets for 2025: a scheduled showdown with Floyd Schofield on February 22, followed by hoped-for clashes against Vasyl Lomachenko and Gervonta "Tank" Davis. The WBC lightweight champion says that after Schofield, he wants "Lomachenko and then Tank," believing those fights will cement his standing among boxing’s elite.

Stevenson, 26, seems less than optimistic about a potential Lomachenko bout, claiming the Ukrainian isn’t keen on facing him. With Top Rank possibly preferring other matchups for Lomachenko - plus Lomachenko’s own future up in the air - Stevenson has also mentioned William Zepeda as a fallback option. He accuses Zepeda of "running" and calls the fight uncertain, but says he’d still like to "beat him up."

Meanwhile, Stevenson keeps calling out Gervonta Davis, believing Tank is annoyed any time reporters bring up Shakur’s name. Stevenson suggests that if Davis has issues with him, they should “fight and get it off your chest," adding the Davis fight is a "dream fight" for him.

All in all, Stevenson’s path to high-profile fights hinges on the willingness of Lomachenko or Davis (and their promoters) to take on a boxer known for shutting opponents down with speed and defense. Whether that path materializes in 2025 - or if Shakur will need to pivot to other opposition at 135 and beyond - remains to be seen.
