In a recent announcement by BOXXER, the highly anticipated rematch between Liam Smith (33-3-1, 20 KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr (32-3, 23 KOs) at the AO Arena in Manchester, England, has been rescheduled from June 17 to July 1. The decision to postpone the bout came after Smith received medical advice recommending a two-week adjustment to his training camp to allow the healing of a minor injury that had worsened. Eubank Jr has agreed to the new date.

Liam Smith commented on the situation, saying, “It’s just an old injury niggle flaring up, but I want to take the time to let it heal so that I can enter the ring at 100% on fight night because a 100% Liam Smith beats Chris Eubank Jr every day of the week and twice on Sunday.”

Fans who have already purchased tickets for the original June 17 date need not worry, as their tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled event on July 1st. Those unable to attend on the new date can request a full refund by contacting their ticket provider.

This exciting rematch will now take place nearly five months after their intense four-round brawl in January, which concluded with Smith claiming victory through a stoppage in the first minute of the fourth round. The rescheduled event promises to deliver another thrilling showdown between these two exceptional fighters.
