Lamont Roach Sr. is taking his passion for boxing beyond the gym, as he’s now focused on building a platform for the next generation of fighters through his partnership with ProBox TV. This Saturday, Roach will be hosting his second event at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, Maryland, featuring young talents who are eager to make their mark. For Roach, it’s all about giving back to the local community and providing opportunities that young boxers might not otherwise have.
"I’m all about the hometown, grassroots all the way," Roach explained. "It’s not just about adding wins to their records - it’s about giving them a platform." With ProBox TV offering these fighters a chance to be seen worldwide, Roach is confident that the exposure will lead to even bigger opportunities for the boxers under his wing.
The event on Saturday is even more significant for Roach because it includes two of his own prospects, Benjamin Johnson and Jordan Roach, his son. The partnership with ProBox is one that Roach believes will only grow stronger. "ProBox TV is the future and the present," he says, confident that the platform’s focus on regular events and talent showcases will soon make it a dominant force in the boxing world.
Roach is committed to keeping his fighters active, something he considers essential for their growth. "Activity is key," he says. With ProBox’s frequent events, Roach sees the opportunity to keep fighters sharp and engaged. His vision for 2025 is to have even more shows and to showcase even more local talent.
