Netflix’s foray into live sports broadcasting has taken a hit as the streaming giant faces a $2.75 million class-action lawsuit from Israeli subscribers. The lawsuit stems from the technical issues that plagued the highly publicized Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight on November 16, leaving thousands of fans unable to watch the event as promised.

Filed by Attorney Eliezer Schwartz on behalf of disgruntled subscribers, the suit alleges Netflix failed to deliver on its promise of a high-quality broadcast. Instead, viewers encountered frozen screens and disruptions during the live stream, with many staying awake until 3 a.m. to catch what was marketed as a “Fight of the Century.” The subscribers, paying NIS 54.90 ($15) monthly, were left frustrated and without compensation or acknowledgment of the issue from Netflix.

The lawsuit joins a similar case filed in the United States, adding pressure on Netflix to address the technical failures that marred its live sports debut. For now, the company has remained silent, and no official decision has been made by the courts.
