Mike Tyson, the legendary former heavyweight champion, recently revealed shocking details about a health crisis he faced earlier this year. The incident forced the postponement of his fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. Tyson, now 58, shared in an interview that he suffered a severe ulcer flare-up on a flight in May, which nearly cost him his life.
"I was in the bathroom throwing up blood," Tyson said. "The doctor told me I had lost half my blood. I needed eight blood transfusions. I almost died." Tyson explained that he lost 25 pounds in just 11 days and was on a liquid diet for weeks. The experience, he admitted, threw off his training completely.
The fight with Paul, originally set for July 20, was rescheduled for November 15 after Tyson's medical emergency. Despite the setback, Tyson is determined to make his return to the ring after a 19-year hiatus. "I don’t give up. I’m going to fight him now, and I’m going to be ready," Tyson added.
