Jaron "Boots" Ennis, the IBF World Welterweight champion, thrilled the local fans by stepping back into the ring at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on a Saturday night.
During the main event, Ennis displayed his boxing skills right from the beginning. The initial round belonged entirely to Ennis, who smoothly transitioned to a southpaw stance halfway through. While Avanesyan attempted a comeback in the second round, he couldn't secure a victory. Ennis maintained control of the bout, delivering impactful body shots in the third round and outstriking Avanesyan in the fourth. In round five, Ennis skillfully countered one of Avanesyan's punches with a strong left hook that sent Avanesyan to the canvas for an eight count. Enniss relentless pressure prompted Avanesyan's corner to stop the fight between rounds.
