Last night at the Sony Hall in Times Square Manhattan, an exciting boxing event unfolded as the unbeaten super lightweight Kurt Scoby (12-0, 10 KOs) took on the veteran former world title challenger Hammerin’ Hank Lundy (31-14, 14 KOs). The 39-year-old Lundy, with his wealth of experience, was expected to give the rising Scoby a run for his money. In another highlighted bout of the night, super welterweight Brian Ceballo (15-1, 7 KOs) faced off against Mitch Louis-Charles (7-4-2, 4 KOs) over eight rounds. Matthew “Lefty Gunz” Gonzalez (13-0-1, 8 KOs), an unbeaten super lightweight, went toe-to-toe with speedster Terell Bostic (7-2, 1 KO) in a fight that promised to be electrifying.

The face-off between Scoby and Lundy ended abruptly in the second round when Scoby put Lundy on the canvas twice, marking the end of the fight at 1:54. Following this defeat, Lundy announced his retirement from boxing in the ring. In another bout, Ceballo dominated Charles, dropping him in the fifth round. The fight continued until the end, with Ceballo coming out on top, recording scores of 80-71, 79-72, and 79-72.

Matthew “Lefty Gunz” Gonzalez also saw success, scoring an eight-round unanimous decision victory over Terell Bostic. The judges’ scores were 78-74, 77-75, and 77-75 in favor of Gonzalez. This night of fights presented several memorable moments, not least of which was the end of Hank Lundy’s boxing career.
