Saturday evening on ESPN+ and ESPN PPV, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, was the glamorous stage for a star-studded boxing event where Devin “The Dream” Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) was put to the test against the formidable Vasyl “Loma” Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs). The crowd was on tenterhooks as the contest unfolded, with both fighters demonstrating their prowess in the ring.
Haney and Lomachenko engaged in a thrilling 12-round match-up that captured the attention of the entire boxing world. Haney’s dominance in the initial rounds was evident, unleashing jabs and solid left hooks, with rights to the body that kept Lomachenko at bay. However, the two-time Olympic Gold Medalist was not to be silenced, demonstrating his tenacity by trading hooks and landing combinations that found their mark on Haney. All in all, Haney secured his belts with scores 116-112 and 115-113.
It’s also worth to say that Shakur Stevenson has controversially claimed that Vasyl Lomachenko was unduly treated in his Saturday night title fight. In a bold assertion, Stevenson insists that he scored the fight 8-4 in favor of Lomachenko, firmly denouncing the verdict as a blatant “robbery”.

The co-main event of the evening witnessed former 2-division world champion Oscar Valdez (31-1, 23 KOs) lock horns with Adam “Blue Nose” Lopez (16-5, 5 KOs). Over a fierce ten-round contest, Valdez fought back from early pressure, his face swelling from Lopez’s persistent assault. However, Valdez showcased his championship resilience, dominating the closing rounds, even as Lopez endured what appeared to be a broken nose from an accidental headbutt.

In the undercard former World Flyweight champion, Junto Nakatani (25-0, 19 KOs) secured a victory over former World interim Bantamweight champion, Andrew Moloney (25-3, 16 KOs). The event also saw promising Lightweight Raymond “Danger” Muratalla (18-0, 15 KOs) stopping Jeremia “Low Key” Nakathila (23-3, 19 KOs) in just two rounds. Additionally, Super Bantam Floyd “Cashflow” Diaz (9-0, 3 KOs) defeated Luis Fernando Saavedra (9-9, 3 KOs) over eight rounds. Finally, the grandson of Muhammad Ali, Middleweight Nico Ali Walsh (8-0-1, 5 KOs) faced a stern test against Danny “Feel Good Hollywood” Rosenberger (13-9-5, 4 KOs). Their eight-round contest ended in a split draw.
