Daniel Dubois is eyeing a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, but first, he must defeat Anthony Joshua in their highly anticipated bout on September 21. Dubois believes that if he can overcome Joshua, it will give him the opportunity to "right that wrong" from his previous fight with Usyk. In an interview with TNT Sports, Dubois referenced the controversial body shot that knocked Usyk down during their fight in Poland last year. The shot was ruled a low blow, but many, including Dubois, believe it was a legitimate hit, with Usyk taking extra time to recover. Usyk went on to stop Dubois in the ninth round, but Dubois says he has unfinished business with the Ukrainian champion.

“There is definitely unfinished business with me and Usyk, and that’s part of my rise,” Dubois stated. “I need to go in there and right that wrong. I was in a dark place before, and I’m coming into the light, so I need to get that back.” Dubois is confident that a victory over Joshua could pave the way for a second fight with Usyk, but he's aware of the challenges ahead.

Despite Dubois' desire for a rematch, Usyk has recently expressed that his focus is on other opponents, specifically a rematch with Tyson Fury and potentially a third fight with Joshua. For Usyk, a second bout with Dubois doesn’t seem to be on the radar, making Dubois' task of securing a rematch even tougher.

As the fight with Joshua approaches, opinions are divided. Some fans and experts believe Dubois' youth and hunger could carry him to victory, while others argue that Joshua’s experience will give him the edge. Regardless, Dubois feels that a win over Joshua would solidify his position at the top of the heavyweight division.

“It puts me at the top of the tree now. It does make me the king, for sure,” Dubois confidently stated. While defeating Joshua would be a major achievement, Dubois knows that a victory over Usyk would be needed to truly claim the heavyweight throne. The question remains: will Dubois ever get that second chance against the unbeaten Usyk? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
