Yesterday, two more boxing events took place: one at Dubai Studio City in Dubai, UAE, and the other one at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The Dubai event saw featherweight Hector Andres Sosa (16-2, 9 KOs) take on two-time world title challenger Jazza Dickens (32-5, 12 KOs), while in Atlantic City, WBA #4 middleweight Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna (35-5-1, 14 KOs) squared off against Juan Manuel “El Principito” Witt (33-1-2, 25 KOs).

At Dubai Studio City, Sosa stunned the crowd with a brutal tenth-round KO against Dickens. A powerful right hand from Sosa was all it took to leave Dickens out cold, securing Sosa the IBO title in the process. This marked another upset for British boxing fans, following Erik Robles’ surprise win over Lee McGregor.

In Atlantic City, LaManna dominated the ring, making quick work of Witt. Witt was no match for LaManna’s relentless assault, and the fight was over by the third round. LaManna knocked Witt down three times, earning himself the WBA Fedelatin belt in the process.

The undercard at Atlantic City saw heavyweight Kristian Prenga (14-1, 14 KOs) secure a first-round knockout victory against Santander Sligado (32-16, 26 KOs). Unbeaten junior middleweight Justin “Time“ Figueroa (6-0, 5 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Jeff “Relentless” Lentz (5-2, 1 KO) across six rounds. Finally, super middleweight Nadim Salloum (11-1, 4 KOs) halted Antonio Ocles (12-13, 3 KOs) in the second round.
