The build-up to Saturday’s rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk continued with the traditional “Grand Arrivals” event in Saudi Arabia. In typical Fury fashion, the former WBC heavyweight champion managed to deliver a memorable soundbite amidst the otherwise routine spectacle. Referring to Turki Alalshikh, Fury declared, “I’m going to give Turki what I promised him in May: a cooked rabbit in his kitchen."

Fury, known for his charismatic and unpredictable personality, appeared relaxed as he joked with reporters and even likened his beard to the source of Samson’s strength. When asked about his prediction for the fight, Fury was clear: "I’m going to knock him out."

Usyk, by contrast, kept things brief and understated, stating through a translator, “I am ready; I am ready to fight. It’s only talk [from Fury]. We will see.” The Ukrainian, who handed Fury his first professional loss in their first bout earlier this year, exuded calm confidence, adding, “It will be a great fight. I feel I will win.”

Saturday’s rematch comes seven months after their initial meeting, a closely contested fight that saw Usyk win by split decision after an electrifying ninth-round rally. Both men now aim to settle the score, with Fury looking to avenge his defeat and Usyk seeking to solidify his place as the heavyweight division’s true king.
