Jamel Herring believes Canelo Alvarez may be eyeing a move up to 175 lbs to challenge Artur Beterbiev for the undisputed light heavyweight crown. After witnessing Beterbiev's recent close win over Dmitry Bivol, Herring thinks Canelo could be tempted, seeing some vulnerabilities in the Russian powerhouse. Canelo has previously mentioned a desire to face Bivol again after losing to him in 2022, but Beterbiev’s performance might sway him to pursue this fight instead. According to Herring, Beterbiev’s slowing pace could be a weakness that Canelo could exploit. "Beterbiev maybe slowing down a bit," Herring told FightHype. "So, maybe Canelo does flirt with the idea, especially if it’s for the idea of being undisputed in another weight division."
