Yesterday two fighting events took place in the U.S., wherein one of them Swedish heavyweight fighter Otto Wallin (25-1, 14 KOs) began his 2023 campaign against Helaman Olguin (9-5-1, 4 KOs), and Serhii "El Flaco" Bohachuk from Ukraine (21-1, 21 KOs) defended his WBC Continental Americas title against Nathaniel "Nate the Great" Gallimore (22-6-1, 17 KOs) in a ten-round bout.

Otto Wallin, a heavyweight ranked third by the WBO, defeated Helaman Olguin at the Castleton Banquet & Conference Center in Windham, New Hampshire. Over the course of the first five rounds, the 6'5" southpaw Wallin outboxed the 39-year-old Olguin. Olguin's blow in the sixth round gave Wallin a tiny slash over his left eye but the latter one still managed to regain control over the final two rounds, winning as a result 79-73, 80-72, and 80-72.

In the other event of the day, in Montebello, California, Serhii Bohachuk earned his fourth straight victory by stopping a gritty Nathaniel Gallimore late in the sixth round.

In the five rounds, Bohachuk simply kept at it, harming Gallimore and tearing him apart. The fight was stopped after round five because the referee had told Gallimore that he was taking a lot of damage and because Bohachuk's momentum was not changing at all.

In the co-main event, unbeaten featherweight Omar Cande Trinidad (11-0-1, 9 KOs) stopped veteran Jose Luis Ramirez (28-9, 16 KOs). Trinidad knocked Ramirez out in round one and then finished him in round two.
