Undefeated lightweight champion Devin Haney has signaled his readiness to return to the ring, five months after his controversial bout with Ryan Garcia.
Previously, Haney's undefeated record was reinstated after Garcia tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs, resulting in their April contest being ruled a no contest by the New York State Athletic Commission.
The April bout, initially awarded to Garcia by decision, saw Haney hit the canvas three times. However, Garcia’s subsequent positive drug tests led to his suspension for 12 months, and Haney hinted at taking a break from the sport.

“The game ain’t been the same… bout time I come back,” Haney shared with his 350,000 followers on X.
New boxing influencer Turki Alalshikh quickly responded, urging Haney to “deliver the job champ” and inviting him to Riyadh. Haney replied confidently, “I would say the comeback… but I never left… see you soon brother,” hinting that his return to the ring may take place in the Saudi Arabian capital.
