In a thrilling night of boxing in Newcastle, Nikita Tszyu (8-0, 7 KOs) was fighting for the Australian super welterweight title against Dylan Biggs (10-1, 7 KOs). This clash of unbeaten contenders delivered an action-packed bout, with both fighters showcasing their skills and resilience.
The fight started with an explosive opening round, where Queensland’s Dylan Biggs momentarily stunned Tszyu with a powerful right hand, sending him to the canvas. However, Tszyu quickly recovered, turning the tide later in the round to the excitement of the crowd. The intensity continued to build, with Tszyu gaining momentum and landing a significant uppercut in the fourth round, leaving Biggs struggling to keep pace.
The pivotal moment came in the fifth round when Tszyu landed a devastating combination of a left to the head followed by a body shot. This sent Biggs to his knee in visible pain. Despite Biggs’ valiant effort to rise and continue, referee John Cauchi intervened, recognizing the relentless onslaught from Tszyu and stopping the fight to ensure Biggs’ safety.

In the co-main event, Issac Hardman (15-2, 13 KOs) also secured a fifth-round knockout victory, delivering a dominant performance against Troy Coleman (12-3, 5 KOs).
