Anthony Yarde will initiate his journey towards a renewed world title challenge as he squares off against Ricky Summers in an all-British face-off. This crucial bout will be staged at the OVO Arena, Wembley, on the much-anticipated Zhilei Zhang-Joe Joyce rematch card, and is set to air live on TNT Sports on September 23rd.

The revered Yarde, fondly known as the Beast from the East, has previously won the respect of the boxing community when he posed the most challenging bout yet for the unified world light heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiev. However, his run was halted in the eighth round, when his corner decided to retire him. This thrilling match took place in front of an enthralled crowd at Wembley, the very same venue that will host his next clash. For Yarde, this symbolizes a second world title challenge, following his encounter with the then-titan, Sergey Kovalev, back in 2019.

Ricky Summers, hailing from Staffordshire, last saw significant fight action this past March, when he triumphed over Joel McIntyre to claim the English light heavyweight title. This marked his second attempt at the English belt, after narrowly losing a split decision against the current British and European champion Dan Azeez in April 2021.

The undercard will also showcase Sam Noakes, the WBC International Silver and Commonwealth lightweight champion, who will be defending his titles. Pierce O’Leary, the WBC International super lightweight champion, will also step into the ring to make a second defence of his belt.
