Venezuelan knockout artist Franklin "El Abuelo" Gonzalez (25-2-2, 25 KOs) faces Saul "The Beast" Sanchez (18-2, 11 KOs) in the 10 rounds super bantamweight main event in Plant City, Florida.
Franklin "El Abuelo" Gonzalez, known as a formidable fighter, suffered two losses throughout his career. One of his defeats occurred in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he faced Jorge Orozco. His most recent loss took place in California against Manuel Flores, with the fight being decided by a split decision. However, apart from these two blemishes on his record, the 26-year-old Gonzalez has managed to knock out each of his opponents before the final bell.
Saul "The Beast" Sanchez, hailing from California, also experienced a controversial defeat in the past year when he fought against Eros Correa. Prior to this second loss in his career, the 25-year-old had an impressive unbeaten streak of six fights, claiming WBA regional titles in two different weight classes.
In the co-main event of the evening, unbeaten Mexican Oscar Alvarez Guerrero (9-0, 7 KOs) will face Jonhatan Cardoso (15-1, 14 KOs) in the 8 rounds super featherweight clash.
Also in this card, the 22-year-old Florida native Dominic Valle (5-0, 4 KOs) will square off against Puerto Rico’s Carlos Rosario (6-1, 3 KOs) at 130 pounds over 6 rounds.
