Alexis Rocha (21-1, 13 KOs) is going to meet George "Red Tiger" Ashie (33-5-1, 25 KOs) in a 12-round welterweight fight at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California.

The advantages go to Rocha, who will fight five times in a little more than 14 months. In 2022, the 25-year-old southpaw from Irvine, California, had a breakout year with three victories, including a knockout of unbeaten Blair Cobbs in Los Angeles in the ninth round.

Rocha defeated Jesus Antonio Perez over ten rounds in his most recent fight on October 29 of 2022 at San Diego's Pechanga Arena. His winning streak now stands at five after a close twelve-round loss to Rashidi Ellis in October 2020.

With this fight, Ashie is going to make his American debut, as well as a fourth career appearance outside of his home Ghana. The 38-year-old journeyman remains winless on the road, with all three fights taking place in the United Kingdom, including a tight points loss to Stephen Ormond in August 2018, his last fight outside of his native country and also his last defeat.

Ashie, who has never been knocked out in 39 career fights, has a five-fight winning run. In March of 2022, Ashie knocked off unbeaten countryman Robert Quaye in the eighth round in Accra.

In the evening's co-main event, Floyd "Kid Austin" Schofield (12-0, 10 KOs), of Austin, Texas, will compete in a 10-round bout against Alberto Mercado of Humacao, Puerto Rico.

Schofield is a remarkable, blue-chip talent who is slowly but surely establishing himself as a world contender.
