Crowd favorite Lewis Ritson (23-2, 13 KOs) and controversial Ohara Davies (24-2, 17 KOs) square off in the 12 rounds super lightweight clash at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle. Initially, the fight was scheduled to be on 25th of February but was postponed for a week to March 4th.
Ritson, a native of Newcastle, fights for the first time since defeating Dejan Zlaticanin, a challenger from Montenegro, by unanimous decision in March. Meanwhile, Londoner Davies knocked out Abdessamad Nechchad, a fighter from Granada, in June 2022.
In the co-main event, unbeaten British fighter Thomas Patrick Ward (33-0-1, 5 KOs) and American-based Uzbek Otabek Kholmatov (10-0, 9 KOs) compete in a WBA-ordered final eliminator at featherweight. The undercard also features some stars including Thomas Patrick Ward, Lee McGregor and Steven Cairns.
