In an eagerly anticipated main event, Israel Rodriguez Picazo (30-5, 20 KOs) is set to battle Ramon Cardenas (23-1, 12 KOs) in a gripping ten-round super bantamweight contest, exclusively on ProBox TV.
Picazo, in his most recent outing, secured a fifth-round stoppage victory against Wilner Soto in Orlando last December. The 25-year-old, who has not tasted defeat in his last 15 fights, is looking to extend his winning streak, with his last loss dating back to 2019 against Eduardo Baez for the Mexican championship.
Opposing him will be San Antonio's own Ramon Cardenas. Cardenas impressed in his hometown this past September, achieving a second-round knockout against the then-undefeated Rafael Pedroza. The 28-year-old's impressive run includes being undefeated in his last 11 fights, with his sole career loss occurring nearly eight years ago in Monterrey, Mexico, to Danny Flores by majority decision.
The event will also feature Jesus Saracho (13-1-1, 11 KOs) and Starling Castillo (18-1-1, 13 KOs) clashing over ten rounds in the super lightweight division. Saracho is coming off a majority-decision draw with Tarik Zaina last summer in Ontario, California. Meanwhile, Castillo enters the ring following a unanimous decision victory over Esteuri Suero in Las Vegas this past May.
Adding international flair to the lineup, Brazil’s Lucas Pontes da Silva (7-0, 7 KOs) will face Nigeria's Efetobor Apochi (11-2, 11 KOs) in a ten-round cruiserweight bout that promises fireworks. The broadcast will kick off with an intriguing eight-round middleweight matchup between Californian prospect Joeshon James (8-0-2, 5 KOs) and veteran Vaughn Alexander (18-8-1, 11 KOs).
