Dylan Moran (19-2, 9 KOs) is set for one of the biggest nights of his career as he takes on fellow Irishman Tyrone McKenna (23-5-1, 6 KOs) on December 7 at the SETU Arena in Waterford.

Moran, a southpaw with plenty of ambition, is determined to make the most of this opportunity. Reflecting on the significance of the fight, Moran said, "The day you walk into a boxing club, you dream of fights like this. For me, it doesn’t get any bigger than this. Bringing an event of this magnitude to Waterford is a dream come true."

The 34-year-old McKenna from Belfast has faced tougher opposition in his career and brings a wealth of experience to the bout. However, Moran is unfazed. He bounced back from a 2023 first-round loss to Florian Marku by stopping the previously undefeated Owen O’Neil in December, earning this high-stakes clash.

“I’ve watched Tyrone McKenna for years - he’s a staple in Irish boxing. But this is my time. He’s had his moment at the top, and now it’s the passing of the torch. Tyrone McKenna doesn’t beat me in Waterford," Moran stated confidently.

Moran, who has a background in kickboxing with nearly 90 fights before turning professional in boxing, believes his versatility and sharpness will give him the edge. "I believe I’m an all-round better fighter - sharper, faster, and with better IQ and punch selection. But if it comes to the trenches, I’m ready for that too."

Both fighters are promising a crowd-pleaser, and with Moran’s hunger to cement his place among Ireland’s best and McKenna’s grit and experience, this matchup is poised to deliver.
