Topping the bill is the highly anticipated 12-round showdown for the vacant WBC Cruiserweight title. Miami’s Noel Mikaelian (26-2, 11 KOs), holding the number one rank, faces the formidable ex-champion Ilunga Makabu (29-3, 25 KOs) of Johannesburg. Makabu, aiming to bounce back after his title loss to Badou Jack, is poised to snatch back his belt in this intense face-off.
“Boxing will return to the beautiful fans,” remarked King, highlighting the significance of these five title bouts. The card’s tri-feature spectacle shines the spotlight on the heavyweights. Jonathan Guidry (19-1-2, 11 KOs), the NABA Gold Heavyweight Champion, is set to rumble with Jesus Escalera (19-0, 19 KOs), the unbeaten FECARBOX Heavyweight Champion. Adding to the heavyweight action is the ex-WBA champion, Trevor Bryan (22-1, 15 KOs), challenging Cassius Chaney (22-1, 15 KOs) for the WBA Continental North America Heavyweight Championship.
