Arslanbek Makhmudov (15-0-0, 14 KOs) facing with Michael Wallisch (23-5, 16 KOs) for North American Boxing Association and North American Boxing Federation titles in a 10-round heavyweight clash.
Arslanbek's last fight was with the Frenchman Carlos Takam. The fight took place in September of this year (2022). Makhmudov won by unanimous decision. During the confrontation, the Russian knocked down his opponent twice.
“On December 17, we will see in the ring two promising boxers who are at the same stage of their careers, and two attacking boxers, each of whom has more than 90% of early victories. It will definitely be an interesting challenge for Arslanbek and a guaranteed spectacle for the audience,” said Makhmudov’s coach Mark Ramsey.
Michael Wallisch turned professional in 2010. The German won his first 19 contests before tasting defeat against compatriot Christian Hammer (TKO 5). The 37-year-old has since fallen into the role of a journeyman and has lost to Efe Ajagba (TKO 2), Tony Yoka (TKO 3), Joe Joyce (TKO3) and Murat Gassiev (TKO 4).
But, Makhmudov is the less experienced professional fighter, having had 9 less fights, and made his debut in 2018, 8 year later than Wallisch. He has fought 61 less professional rounds, 38 to Wallisch's 99.
