Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic (27-2, 19 KOs), the former world title challenger, is set to headline ProBox TV’s Wednesday Night Fights in a ten-round showdown against England’s Mickey Ellison (14-4, 5 KOs) in the light heavyweight division in Plant City, Florida.
Kalajdzic is in impressive form, having secured three consecutive wins since his 5th-round defeat to Artur Beterbiev for the IBF title in 2019. On the other hand, Ellison is building on victories over Jake Barton and Thomas Whittaker Hart, with the latter being an impressive triumph at Wembley Arena.
In the co-main event, Jonas Sultan (18-6, 11 KOs), another former world title challenger, squares off against Frank Gonzalez (12-3, 6 KOs) in an eight-round bantamweight clash. Philippines’ Sultan recently suffered a points loss to Paul Butler but holds a noteworthy win against the previously undefeated Carlos Caraballo. Gonzalez, hailing from Florida, is on a commendable three-fight winning streak.
In another gripping match-up, the undefeated William Foster III (15-0, 9 KOs) meets Misael Lopez (14-3, 5 KOs) in a ten-round contest for the vacant WBA Fedecentro Super Featherweight title. The evening’s broadcast will kick off with prospect Dominic Valle (6-0, 5 KOs) challenging Damian Alcala (7-2, 1 KO) in a 6-round super featherweight bout.
