Jake Paul (6-0, 4 KOs), a YouTube sensation turned prizefighter, and Tommy Fury (8-0, 4 KOs) have finally agreed to meet in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Sunday, February 26.
The card will cost $49.99 and will be airs on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
Though they have still not entered the ring together, this is the third time the two have scheduled a fight.
In December 2021, Fury withdrew from a match against Paul due to illness. The fight was rescheduled for August 2022, but Paul's team canceled it due to Fury's problems entering the United States. Fury is a well-known reality television celebrity in the UK and the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
A 26-year-old professional boxer Jake Paul has recently defeated MMA great Anderson Silva by majority decision. Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, and Nate Robinson, all former MMA champions and NBA veterans, were also all defeated by him through knockout.
The fact that Paul hasn't faced opponents with genuine pro-boxing experience is one of the biggest complaints leveled at him. Paul would be facing a 23-year-old Fury, the most experienced boxer he has faced yet, who is coming off a decision win over Daniel Bocianski in April of 2022.
