Another striking event takes place at Culican, Mexico, in which Pedro Guevara (39-3-1, 22 KOs) squares off against Miguel Herrera (22-5-5, 8 KOs) on ProBox TV.
Born on June 7, 1989, Guevara has proven his mettle time and time again, formerly holding the WBC light flyweight championship. His skills were internationally recognized in May 2017 when he was ranked as the world's best light flyweight by The Ring magazine and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, with BoxRec following closely behind, ranking him second.
On the other hand, we have Miguel Herrera, a promising contender in the boxing world. Known by his nickname, "Joyita," Herrera was born on July 10, 1995, in Yucatan, Mexico.
“I expect a good fight from Herrera tomorrow,” Guevara told ProBox TV. “I am ranked number 2 in the WBC, Juan Francisco Estrada is the champion, that is the fight I want. We tried to make a final eliminator with Román González for an eliminator fight because he's ranked number 1. But his camp wouldn't. But his camp didn't want him to fight me."
On the undercard, Juan Ramírez Márquez (15-6, 8 KOs), of Mexico City, will face Sinaloa's Nazario Castro (10-2-1, 5 KOs) in the 10-round bantamweight division. The broadcast will open with a Mexican war between Jesús Mercardo (5-0-1, 4 KOs) from Sonora and Alexis Molina (8-0, 2 KOs) from Sinaloa in the 8-round super bantamweight division.
