The heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is now officially set at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Initially scheduled on 17th of February, this historic bout promised to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999, uniting the WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBF titles in a historic showdown. However, a sparring session injury to Tyson Fury, a “freak cut” above his right eye requiring extensive medical attention, has derailed these plans. The cut, inflicted during a sparring match with Croatian southpaw Agron Smakici, has necessitated a delay to ensure Fury's full recovery.
