Jonathan Giovanni Di Bella (2-0, 1 KO), a former world kickboxing champion, is set to make his Groupe Yvon Michel contract debut in an eight-round main event against Mexican bantamweight veteran Lamberto Macias (16-8-1, 12 KOs) at Montreal Casino.
Di Bella, 26, has had an immaculate career in combat sports, spanning amateur boxing, pro kickboxing, and pro boxing. Macias enters the ring after a recent 10-round decision defeat against Carlos Cuadras, a former World Boxing Council world champion currently ranked No. 5 globally by the WBC.
In the co-main event, Canadian light heavyweight Terry Osias (12-0, 6 KOs) squares off against Abraham Hernandez Meja (9-5-2, 4 KOs) in an eight-round bout. Meanwhile, Toronto’s Steven Rolls (22-2, 12 KOs), a protégé of promoter Lou DiBella, will defend his International Boxing Federation North American middleweight title against Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Sladan Janjanin (36-15, 25 KOs) in a 10-rounder.
I’m the undercard world welterweight contender Marie-Pier Houle (8-1-1, 2 KOs), ranked No. 2 by the World Boxing Organization, who takes on super lightweight Cindy Reyes Espinoza (4-1, 0 KOs) in an eight-round showdown. Caroline Veyre (4-0, 0 KOs) continues her impressive run against quality opponent Karina Travieso “The Relentless” Chavez (5-1, 0 KOs) in another eight-rounder, while Montreal light heavyweight Abed Almoty El Safadi (4-0, 1 KO) faces Dylan Rushton (3-9-2, 4 KOs) in a four-round bout. Additionally, light heavyweight Mohamed Zawadi (6-1, 5 KOs) meets Edison Demaj (10-2, 5 KOs) of Germany in a six-round face-off.
