Former world champion Firat Arslan (54-9-3, 39 KOs) is set to face Edin Puhalo (23-1, 22 KOs) in what will be Arslan’s final professional boxing bout in Göppingen and will be for the vacant WBA Gold World title. The event will be broadcast live on “Bild+”.
Arslan, who celebrates his 53rd birthday, has had a storied career in boxing since turning professional in 1997. Edin “Iron Puki” Puhalo, hailing from Bosnia, boasts an impressive knockout rate of 95 percent, marking him as a formidable opponent for Arslan’s farewell fight.
Arslan’s most notable achievement came in November 2007 when he defeated Virgil Hill, known for his victory over Henry Maske, to claim the WBA cruiserweight title. As he prepares for his final bout, the boxing community eagerly anticipates a fitting farewell for the veteran fighter.
