Kazakhstani boxer Janibek “Qazaq Style” Alimkhanuly (12-0, 8 KOs) faces another British contender in his first defense of the WBO middleweight title. This time Janibek fights against #14 WBO Denzel Bentley (17-1-1, 14 KOs) after Demetrius ‘Boo Boo’ Andrade, chose not to fight him.
In the co-feature, undefeated pound-for-pound queen Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada (22-0, 9 KOs) defends her WBA minimumweight world title against Jazmin Gala Villarino (6-1-2, 1 KO).
The last time Janibek Alimkhanuly entered the ring was in May: in the second round he knocked out the British boxer Danny Dignum (14-1-1, 8 KOs). As for Alimkhanuly's new opponent from the UK, Denzel Bentley fought in September and in the fourth round knocked out his compatriot Marcus Morrison (25-6, 16 KOs).
The head of promotion company Top Rank, Bob Arum, also spoke about the upcoming match: “Boxing's top middleweight, Janibek, will defend his WBO title on November 12 against tough British contender Denzel Bentley. Denzel stepped forward when many others shunned the gifted Kazakh. Janibek is a problem for anyone at middleweight and super middleweight,” Arum tweeted.
